We are one of only a small number of contractors that are certified in ‘Passive House’ on Vancouver Island, and we have successfully built the first two Passive House certifiable homes in Nanaimo. We have also built the first certified Step Code 5 home in Nanaimo.
Ora Homes and its team have a long history of working in the area of Green Building, having earned many accolades and recognitions for our work, including being featured on CBC on various call-in radio programmes about Sick Homes and indoor air quality. Our work was also featured in the New York Times for a Writer’s Studio for the international best-selling author, Yann Martel, work that was featured in the New York Times.
With over 10 years of experience in home building, design, and sustainable building, we also work as an industry Consultant on projects related to Passive House, sustainable building, airtightness, energy efficient and other areas.
